This is Mello from Death Note.
I wanted the feathers to sort of represent black angel wings.. although I personally hate angel wings on characters, I thought it was kind of appropriate for Mello. He had a flair for the dramatic. (they're not wings, btw, it's more like a boa or the trim of his vest)
It's a large pencil drawing that I've been working on for MONTHS, and it's finally finished!
The dimensions are 24" across and 32" high (that's 2 feet wide and nearly 3 feet high). It's the largest fully-shaded pencil drawing I think I've ever done.

It will be in the Art Show at Anime North along with "Ryuk" and "Mononoke:Requiem". I'll also be showing "Black Heart", an ink painting of Kakuzu from Naruto that I have yet to take a picture of.
